Business Development Bank of Canada
The Business Development Bank of Canada (BCD), the only financial institution dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs, came with an interesting task. BDC had the need to help educate small to medium business owners and entrepreneurs about how measuring efficiency and staying highly productive can be a competitive advantage. This measuring and striving for higher productivity (a challenge for Canada’s business culture) created opportunities in technology, and the BDC was there to offer financial tools and loan offerings. We created a fictitious narrative with visuals to support this narrative of two entrepreneurs: plastic hanger manufacturers. Although business was healthy, profits margins had declined. Through the help of BDC and its online tool they could re-invest in technology that helped them with productivity and raised profit margins to contribute to Canada’s economic ecosystem.
